Renovation and extension builders in Auckland

Every quote is scoped on site by a builder and a quantity surveyor together, so the price reflects the job rather than a guess at it.

We are a family-owned company based in South Auckland. Around 90% of our work is for homeowners, with renovations and extensions the projects we most want to take on.

100+ rennovations

Renovations completed since 2017, from single rooms to whole-house rebuilds.

150+

New homes built since 2017, for homeowners and developers.

Of our jobs are for homeowners rather than commercial clients.

2017

Family-owned and trading from South Auckland since the company was founded.

We start by sending our professionals to walk your home and price your job together.

We know it can be tempting to want a price on the spot, but getting it right matters more than getting it fast.

During our site visit, our team of professionals will figures out the practicalities - what's load-bearing, where services need to move, and what hidden quirks the house might have. Because it takes time to review and evaluate everything properly after the visit, you get a reliable estimate rather than a rushed guess.

That’s why our pricing stays solid when construction actually begins, and why any unexpected changes are always cleared with you first.

How quoting starts

Steps between your first message and a price

01

Tell us about the project

Send the details through the form or call us. It helps to know what you are planning, roughly when, and any budget limit you are working to.

02

An initial conversation

We call you within one working day to talk through goals, scope, budget and timing, and to work out whether the project is a fit for us. If it is not, we will tell you then rather than after a site visit.

03

Initial home walkthrough

A detailed on-site review to assess your existing space and map out the exact scope of the project.

04

Quote prepared and finalised

We carefully price the work following our site walkthrough, taking the time needed to ensure your estimate is thoroughly calculated.

05

We follow up once

About a week after the quote goes out we check whether you need anything else. If we do not hear back after that, we leave it with you.

Where we work

Based in South Auckland, building across the region

Based in South Auckland, most of our projects sit between Pukekohe and the central suburbs. We take work across the
wider Auckland area where the project suits our team and schedule, and we will tell you honestly if a site is outside the
range we can service well.

Recent projects: Otara, Manurewa, Māngere East, Karaka, Pukekohe, Wattle Downs, Sunnybrae and Mission Bay.

The projects we are set up for

We are a small, selective team, and we take on fewer jobs than a volume builder. That means being straightforward about what we are good at.

We are a strong fit for

  • Whole-house and multi-room renovations
  • Extensions and structural alterations
  • Builder-led kitchen and bathroom work where layout, services or structure are changing
  • New homes on your own site
  • Retaining, driveways and decks, particularly alongside a larger scope

We are probably not the right call for

  • Repairs, maintenance and small handyman work
  • Supply-and-install kitchens with no building work
  • Jobs that need to start this week

Standalone projects generally start from around $20,000, and most of our renovation work sits above $50,000. If you are not sure where your project lands, ask - smaller work sometimes fits alongside a larger scope or into the current schedule.

Tell us what you are planning

Common questions

Is my project big enough for you?

Standalone projects generally start from around $20,000, and most of our renovation work sits above $50,000 - full renovations, extensions and new builds are what we are set up for. Smaller work is still worth asking about if it sits alongside a larger scope, or if it fits the current build schedule. We will tell you honestly at the first conversation rather than after a site visit.

Do I need plans before I contact you?

No. Plenty of people come to us with an idea and some photos. If drawings are needed for consent or pricing accuracy, we will tell you at the initial conversation and explain what has to happen first.

How long does a quote take?

We call you within one working day of your enquiry. If the project is a fit, we arrange a site visit with a quantity surveyor and a builder, and the quote is normally priced within three to five business days of that visit. Complex jobs take longer, and we give you an expected date at the site visit rather than leaving you waiting.

Does every enquiry get a site visit?

Not automatically. We have an initial conversation first to understand the scope, budget and timing. If the project is a fit, we arrange a site visit with a QS and a builder.

Will my project need building consent?

It depends on what is changing. Structural work, new plumbing, decks over a certain height and most retaining walls generally do. We will tell you what we think applies to your project and where council or an engineer needs to be involved.

Which parts of Auckland do you work in?

We are based in South Auckland and work across the wider region, with most projects between Pukekohe and the central suburbs.

Can we stay in the house while the work happens?

In most renovations, yes. We stage the work so the household keeps functioning where we can, protect the areas we are not working in, and clear the site at the end of each day. Some scopes - whole-house rebuilds, major structural work or a kitchen with no alternative - are easier and usually cheaper with the house empty. We will tell you which applies at the site visit, because it affects both the programme and the price.
