Kitchen and bathroom renovations in Auckland

Builder-led, not retailer-led. We take on kitchens and bathrooms where the layout, the services or the structure are changing - walls moving, plumbing and wiring relocating, floors levelling, waterproofing done properly and signed off.

If your kitchen is a straight swap into the same footprint, a kitchen company will do it more cheaply than we will. If walls or services are moving, that is our work.

100+ renovations

From kitchens to full house renovations, since 2017.

Built on precision

Every estimate is carefully calculated by our specialists so you get a realistic, transparent number from day one.

Kitchen renovations

A kitchen that only needs new doors and a benchtop is a cabinetmaker's job. We take on the ones where walls, plumbing, electrical or the ceiling are changing, and where someone has to hold all of the trades together.

  • Layout changes, including removing or forming walls
  • Relocating plumbing, gas, extraction and power
  • Structural work over openings and to island positions
  • Flooring, linings, ceilings and the junctions into adjoining rooms
  • Coordinating the cabinetmaker, benchtop supplier and appliance fit-out

Bathroom renovations

Bathrooms are small rooms with a lot going on behind the lining. Most of the cost and all of the long-term risk sits in the parts you never see again once it is tiled.

  • Full strip-outs, including framing repairs where there has been a leak
  • Waterproofing to current standards, with the paperwork to prove it
  • Moving wastes, re-setting falls and re-plumbing
  • Tiling, ventilation, underfloor heating and fixture installation
  • Ensuite additions where the layout and drainage allow it

What has to be decided before we can price it properly

Layout

Whether anything is moving, and whether a wall is structural.

Services

How far plumbing, waste and power have to travel from where they are now.

Cabinetry and fixtures

Who is supplying them, and roughly what level of product you are working to.

Finishes

Tile size and type change the labour more than most people expect.

Waterproofing scope

Wet area extent, and whether existing substrate can be reused.

Hidden condition risk

In an older bathroom, we assume something will be found and we tell you how that is handled.

Living with the work

Losing a kitchen or the only bathroom is the part people worry about, and reasonably so. At the site visit we work out the sequence with you: what gets done first, how long each room is out of action, and whether a temporary setup is worth putting in.

Where a household has two bathrooms, we stage the work so one stays live. Where there is only one, we compress the wet trades and tell you the dates up front rather than as they happen.

Kitchen and bathroom questions

Do you renovate kitchens and bathrooms as standalone projects?

Yes, where the scope involves building work rather than a cosmetic replacement. Talk to us and we will tell you honestly whether it fits our schedule.

Do I need plans before the site visit?

No. A sketch of the layout you want and photos of the existing room are plenty to start with.

Can you help with layout changes?

Yes. We will tell you what is structural, what the drainage allows, and what a change is likely to cost before you commit to it.

How are the trades coordinated?

We hold the programme and book the trades. You deal with us, not with six separate contractors.

What affects the quote most?

Moving services, structural changes, tile selection and the condition of what is behind the existing lining.

How soon after the site visit will we get a quote?

Normally within around 3-5 business days. You will be told the expected date at the visit.
