How we work
What happens from your first message to your quote
No guesswork about who calls you, when someone comes to the property, or how long a price takes. This is the process we actually run.

STEP 01
Our admin team connects with you to discuss your vision, goals, budget expectations, and project timeline. This quick chat helps us ensure we're the right fit for your project before scheduling an on-site visit, saving everyone valuable time if it turns out not to be a match.
STEP 02
If your project is a good fit, our admin team will schedule an on-site visit with team. Reviewing the space together allows us to assess both practical construction needs and project costs simultaneously in the same conversation with you. It's the main reason our quotes stay reliable once construction begins.
STEP 03
Measurements are taken and notes recorded about what the project actually requires - including the things that are easy to leave out of a drawing, like access, existing condition and how the work has to be staged around you.
STEP 04
Our team puts together your detailed price estimate, and we give you a clear timeline upfront so you always know when to expect it. If your project is larger or more complex and requires extra time to price accurately, we'll let you know right away rather than missing a deadline in silence.
STEP 05
Around a week after the quote is issued, we follow up to see whether you need anything else - a walk through the numbers, an alternative approach, or a revised scope. We would rather have that conversation than leave a quote sitting in an inbox.
A written contract setting out scope, price, payment stages and timeframes, with the required disclosure information provided before signing.
A start date and an indicative programme, including the stages that depend on consent, inspections or long-lead materials.
You are told who runs your job. Questions go to that person rather than to whoever happens to be on site.
Anything that changes the scope or price is documented and agreed before it proceeds. Renovations uncover things; surprises should be in the building, not the invoice.
The site is tidied at the end of each day, waste is contained, and access is kept clear. It matters most when people are living there.
A walk-through at completion, a list of anything outstanding, and the documentation for the work carried out.
Most projects of any size involve someone other than us — a designer, an engineer, sometimes a geotechnical specialist. We will tell you at the site visit which of those we think your project needs, and what each of them is for.
Consent processing time sits with council and is outside anyone's control, so we treat it as a programme item rather than something to promise around.
