What the house needed

This Manurewa home needed a coordinated update to its kitchen, bathroom and living spaces. The existing kitchen had older cream cabinetry, the living room had carpet and dated light fittings, and the bathroom combined a shower over the bath with a small vanity. The renovation brought these spaces together with modern finishes while refreshing the home’s weatherboard exterior and front entrance.

What we did

  • Installed a modern kitchen with white cabinetry, black detailing, timber-look overhead cupboards and a marble-look benchtop.
  • Added a white subway-tile splashback, an undermount sink and lighting beneath the overhead cupboards.
  • Created a timber-look shelving feature with integrated lighting.
  • Renovated the bathroom with large-format grey tiles, a double vanity, an illuminated mirror and modern fittings.
  • Refreshed the living spaces with light neutral paint, grey timber-look flooring and recessed lighting.
  • Updated the exterior with a white finish, a contrasting black base and a vertical slatted screen at the front entrance.
